‘love 40: An Overview

And here I am on the other side of the Big Four Oh. I’d like to say I have some sort of deep insight on what it feels like; but I really have no idea. It hasn’t set in yet.
Technically, it’s just another day. But in our age-obsessed society, there’s always a bit more to it, right? And in gay years, I’m ready for AARP and senior citizen discounts at the club.
I have to thank all of my friends and guests for helping celebrate the day (select pics on Flickr for friends and family). Lord knows a lot of folk don’t make it this far.

Congrats in hitting the big 40! I just turned 40 this past October and its been great. I now officially feel like I can call myself grown. Haven’t you heard? 40 is the new 20!

yes prime’s cake was bananas. i’m still mulling over that nectar imperial… i suspect it reacted negatively with whatever sprite was left over in my cup. which of course a thinly-veiled excuse to buy a bottle for myself.
