We Are Part Of You

The Campaign for Black Gay Men’s Lives is about challenging the belief that our lives don’t matter and aren’t worth saving. It exposes and confronts homophobia, which we see in the form of inaction, silence and even violence.

In To Be Out: Gay Celebrities

CBS offers this pictorial of stars who are living openly gay lives, and realizing that it is “in to be out.” The scope is a bit wide; several people they mention have been out for decades (or were never in the closet to begin with). Also, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out what’s missing from the gallery.

Confessions of a Black Gay Man

Atlantan Stephaun Elite has started a new blog. In addition to being a fixture in the ball scene (The Elite Family/House of Roberto Cavalli), Stephaun is also a model, political/community advocate, human rights activist, youth empowerment specialist, and HIV/AIDS Educator.

Baseball Players Have Feelings Too

I’m not a baseball fan so I’m just catching this YouTube clip of Boston Red Soxers Manny Ramirez and Julian Tavarez sharing a little intimacy in the dugout.

Of course, the game commentators don’t know how to react. Whether or not the players are straight or gay, male affection is a beautiful thing. Hat tip to Kenyon Farrow with more commentary at AngryBrownButch
