Twelve - thebrotherlove Way

Twelve thoughts and one picture

by j. brotherlove

Others have already taken a stab at this meme Buccho started. I’m never quite coordinated enough on a Monday to be successful at it. Here are twelve thoughts and one picture to wrap up my so-called weekend:

FF10.jpg

  1. Thanks to the folks at 3rd Wave, I’m a lot more eager to take my laptop out of the house and go surfing.
  2. Even so, most of my weekend was spent in front of the television. The closer I get to finishing Final Fantasy X, the more obsessed I am with playing it.
  3. Which is one reason I totally missed the Atlanta Greek Festival (Grayse made it but the food made her sick).
  4. My luck with food was mixed. I don’t know why I keep eating at Celebrity; I’m never happy with what I order.
  5. And if management thinks running into recently outed Cynthia Nixon at the counter makes up for my bad food, they need to think again.
  6. Luckily, brunch at Thumbs Up Diner was reliably worth the wait.
  7. I thought of catching a thought-provoking film after brunch but decided lounging and watching DVDs was the order of the day.
  8. No matter how many times I watch Gattaca and One False Move, they never get old.
  9. Loverboy and I tried to watch Man On Fire. It took us two days. I love me some Dakota Fanning but damn if that’s not a long-ass movie.
  10. “Sorry I missed your call, J. I was upstairs showing my cousin my new dildo.”
  11. Things rarely surprise me. But I was amused at how many Atlanta homosexuals lined up at Outwrite to watch Carson arrive by limo to sign his book.
  12. Speaking of turkeys (hehe), have you ever found a wild turkey in your front yard? The kind you eat silly, not the kind you drink. Well we did at the DIC this weekend. Good times, I tell ya. Good times.

Thanks for playing, brah!

You are absolutely correct with Man of Fire. While I enjoyed the movie — all 2 hrs and 30 minutes of it — it is TOOOO LOOONG for home-viewing consumption.

And there was no pay off at the end. I wanted Denzel Washington to blast that fool called “the Voice.” The pay off in that movie sucked 12 rotten eggs.

Hey bl, if you love Van Hunt, go cop Martin Luther’s new CD, Rebel Soul Music. Trust me, it’s a soulful masterpiece.

i dont know what to think about #10.

I loved Man On Fire but I was extremely upset with the ending…the hero is not supposed to die, especially when his name is Denzel!

Anywho, seems like I missed a lot of turkey business this past weekend. First I didn’t have turkey for Thanksgiving (Canadian Thanksgiving but I’m sure you knew that ya worldy man), now I missed a turkey in the yard. You shoulda let the dog go at it, although I’m sure the turkey would have won that battle.

Tell Loverboy I say ‘howday’ and give yourself a big hug from me. Miss ya.

I know what to think about #10.

Dayum!

#4 Eating at Celebrity: Obviously they want their patrons to feel “just like real stars” by provoking public hissy fits with sub par cuisine!

I LOOOOVE FINAL FANTASY! Just finished the game in Feb! It’s worth it!
