Donnie & Jonathan Plummer On The Radio

Discuss their sexuality on WRFG

by j. brotherlove

Donnie and Jonathan PlummerSoul singer Donnie (The Colored Section, The Daily News) and Jonathan Plummer (ex-husband of Terry McMillan) are scheduled to appear on local Atlanta radio station WRFG’s Alternative Perspectives, August 14, 2007 from 7:00-8:00pm.

The pair will speak “candidly about how they’ve come to terms with their sexuality in the midst of fame, fortune and the fight to maintain dignity and respect.”

You can listen to WRFG on the radio at 89.3 FM or on the web via the “Listen Live” link on the right side of the homepage. Calls will be taken during the program at 404-523-8989.

By the way, you can help the community-sponsored station finance its move to a new tower which will vastly improve their signal and end their temporary permit with the FCC, by donating to their Capital Campaign.

I would have like to have listened to this interview. If you should ever have the opportunity and it is possible, please offer it up on your site.

please let me know if/when you can if there is a copy of that interview somewhere- a transcript or a recording- I am doing LGBT research and this would be a powerful contribution…

I sort of dropped the ball on listening to the interview (I caught the last part). I’ve inquired about a transcript or audio file. I’ll share any updates I get.

Via the producer of the show:

An edited transcript of the show featuring Donnie and Plummer can be purchased for $15 to assist in the fundraising efforts of WRFG FM.

Transcript requests and checks and money orders should be made payable to:
